Say what you want about Tesla, they are absolutely killing it in Europe. In fact, in the very first month that the Model 3 was introduced it became the best selling full electric car in Western Europe.
According to Matthias Schmidt, Berlin-based automotive industry analyst, Tesla sold 3,724 Model 3’s in the month of February. This might not sound that impressive until you realise that Model 3 was in fact the best-selling mid-sized saloon, outselling the conventionally fuelled Audi A4, BMW 3 series and the near perfect Mercedes C Class.
Whilst the sales figures are impressive, when you compare it to 31,769 VW Golfs sold in the same period, you understand what a small percentage of the total market Telsa hold. On the flip side, with car sales stagnating, it leaves Telsa scope for huge improvements in market share. It’s exciting times!

I personally believe that EV ownership is very quickly becoming a very promising prospect. With every increasing ranges and quicker recharge times, EV will very soon be a viable alternative. Having only driven a Renault Zoe, Nissan Leaf and BMW i3, we very much look forward to testing the Model 3 for ourselves.
